MALTA — A Schenectady man was charged with a felony for allegedly jumping on top of a Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office vehicle after officers responded to a loud party call.

The sheriff’s office said in a press release that while deputies were responding to a noise complaint for a party in Malta at Ellsworth Commons around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, the 19-year-old man caused $250 worth of damage by allegedly jumping up and down on the roof of one of their vehicles.

The man was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, and given a ticket to appear at another time in Malta town court. However, the man was turned over to the Schenectady Police Department for a warrant on a separate complaint, the sheriff’s office said.
