Billy McFarland, the disgraced entrepreneur behind the notorious Fyre Festival, and a current federal inmate, has been placed in solitary confinement, his lawyer said on Friday, after Mr. McFarland participated in a new podcast about his crimes that was released this week.

Mr. McFarland, 28, who is serving six years for fraud, can be heard discussing his various high jinks and their aftermath in detail from a prison phone on a show titled “Dumpster Fyre,” which premiered Tuesday. According to Mr. McFarland’s lawyer, he has been in 23-hour-a-day solitary confinement since last week, after a trailer for the podcast was released online, and may remain there for up to 90 days or more, pending an unspecified investigation by the federal Bureau of Prisons.

“We believe the investigation stems from his participation in the podcast and the photographs that were taken and utilized in the trailer, which were all properly taken,”

Patreon Becomes Latest Social Media Platform to Take on QAnon

Patreon Inc. is known as a place where podcasters and other internet creators go to make money through subscriptions. But on Thursday, it became the latest social media company to address the growing presence of the conspiracy group QAnon.

The company announced in a blog post that they would be taking action against accounts who use their platform to actively spread QAnon’s beliefs. The post detailed how “QAnon-dedicated creators that are identified by our Policy and Trust & Safety teams will have their accounts removed from Patreon.”

Patreon said accounts that analyzed the QAnon phenomenon wouldn’t be impacted by the ban. Creators who have spread some QAnon ideas but “are not dedicated to spreading QAnon content” would also be given the opportunity to bring their accounts into compliance, according to the company.

A search of Patreon by Bloomberg showed that many of the larger QAnon accounts had been removed. One

Borat 2: Why The Ending’s Final Cameo Is a Wild Moment

borat-2-sacha-baron-cohen-slice

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.]

In a film deliberately designed to shock you with the things people will say on camera if they believe they’re talking to a Kazakhstanian journalist, one of the most shocking moments of the Sacha Baron Cohen-starring Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan has nothing to do with Rudy Giuliani. Instead, it’s the fact that they got Tom Hanks.

It almost gets lost, sandwiched as it is between all the hilarity, but the big final twist of Borat 2 features Borat (Cohen) and his daughter Tutar (Maria Bakalova) discovering that the coronavirus pandemic was a secret plot spearheaded by the Kazakhstan government, which used Borat to spread the virus around the world. Key to this flashback sequence is a quick cameo (blatantly filmed against

NEW YORK (Reuters) – The former editor of a New York newspaper once owned by President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner was charged on Friday by federal prosecutors with cyberstalking three people in connection with his divorce.

Prosecutors in Brooklyn said Ken Kurson, who is also a political consultant and former speechwriter for Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, sent threatening messages and used aliases to file false complaints against his victims in late 2015 amid the divorce proceedings.

They also said Kurson traveled on multiple occasions to where two victims worked, taking photos and asking about the work schedule of one, prompting their employer to hire a security guard for them.

Kurson is being released on $100,000 bond following a virtual

Trump Announces Sudan Will Move to Normalize Relations With Israel

WASHINGTON — President Trump announced on Friday that Israel and Sudan have opened economic ties as a pathway toward normalized relations, with Sudan becoming the third Arab state to formally set aside hostilities in recent weeks as the president looks to score a final foreign policy achievement ahead of the election.

The deal, however, appeared to stop short of establishing full diplomatic recognition between the two countries, as Israel recently has with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain — despite Mr. Trump’s description of it as a major agreement.

“HUGE win today for the United States and for peace in the world,” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter.

Announcing the deal in the Oval Office — while on a conference call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel and Sudan’s civilian and military leaders, Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan — Mr. Trump did not respond when
