Trump gains in 9 of 12 swing states, but Biden still leads in 10 of them

With just eight days to go before the election, both national poll and swing state surveys make it clear the race is tightening.

President Donald Trump gained on his Democratic challenger Joe Biden in national polling averages, and in nine of 12 contested states. But Biden still holds a sizable lead in the national polls and is still ahead of Trump in 10 of the 12 states that could decide the election.

Biden’s average lead is only 3 percentage points or more in five of the swing states, but those include the crucial states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin that Trump flipped in 2016. And while Trump grew his modest lead in Ohio and cut Biden’s leads in Arizona, Florida and Georgia further down to size, he also lost ground in Texas and Iowa.

Nick Saban talks safety play, Jaylen Waddle injury

The safety position was a hot topic during Nick Saban’s Thursday radio show, whether it was the play of Alabama’s safeties through five games, Jaylen Waddle’s ability to take the top off an opposing secondary or the head coach recalling the recruitment of Roman Harper.

Although Saban believes his secondary is improving, the play of the safeties hasn’t been ideal.

“The safety play, we’ve not tackled really well, had a lot of missed tackles,” Saban said. “We made some poor adjustments. We played the ball poorly on several occasions that gave the other team big plays. But I think the players are actually learning from all these mistakes and they’re actually improving as we go. We’re just gonna keep coaching them and coaching them and trying to make them realize what they have to do to be better players.

Phil Collins’ ex-wife ordered to vacate his Miami home

Phil Collins’ ex-wife and her new husband have been ordered by a Florida judge to vacate the singer’s home in Miami Beach, Florida, according to a lawyer for the musician.

For The Clark Sisters, 2020 Has Been A Year Of Great Blessings

When you’re audacious and cocksure enough to assume the tag Hit-Boy, in a game and industry where you’re only as good as your next big single or album release, chances are you have a glaring lack of self-awareness or you’re operating at a level of excellence that’s unique. That said, Chauncey Alexander Hollis has proven himself to be closer to the latter, as he’s spent the past decade crafting some of the biggest anthems for the biggest artists in the game, including Beyoncé, Drake, JAY-Z, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar, just to name a few.

With credits on many of the biggest rap releases during that time, Hit-Boy is considered an elite boardman by most measures. However, somewhere along the line, he felt the need to stamp himself as more than a hit-maker for hire, but a producer with the ability to oversee, compose and help craft a body of

As Trump, Biden hammer at swing states, advocates work to dismantle Electoral College

DENVER – As the presidential election between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden focuses increasingly on a few swing states that could determine the winner, millions of Americans are asking why their votes are essentially being taken for granted.

Why does the electoral vote matter more than the popular vote?

UP NEXT

UP NEXT

Now, a long-running effort to make the nation’s presidential election a “one person, one vote” system is gaining favor among partisan Democrats still angry that Trump won the 2016 presidency despite losing the popular vote by more than 2.8 million votes.

Colorado is the latest state to consider adopting the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which seeks to essentially abolish the Electoral College without going through the near-impossible task of amending the U.S. Constitution. Coloradans are voting on the measure now, and polls show support is evenly split.

Start the day
