Mammoth WVH’s Eddie Van Halen Tribute ‘Distance’ Debuts Atop Rock Charts: ‘I Just Wish He Was Here to See It’

“Distance” also bows at No. 9 on the likewise multi-metric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally and opens at Nos. 1 and 2 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales and Rock Digital Song Sales rankings, respectively.

“I am beyond humbled by the response to ‘Distance,'” Wolfgang, who also wrote the song, tells Billboard. “I can’t believe that it’s appearing on all of these charts so soon after release. The fact that so many have embraced the song and video shows how much we have in common in the love and respect we have for my father. I just wish he was here to see it. Thank you so much to everyone who’s listening and also to my whole team who has worked so hard to make this a reality.”

How Eddie Van Halen’s Son Wolf Remembers His Late Father in New Song ‘Distance’

Wolf Van Halen is honoring his dad Eddie Van Halen in the best way: through song.

On Monday, the 29-year-old son of the late guitar hero released his debut song “Distance” as part of his band Mammoth WVH. The track’s music video features several touching home clips of the father-son duo’s close relationship.

“As my pop continued to struggle with various health issues, I was imagining what my life would be like without him and how terribly I’d miss him,” Wolf says about the song in a press release. “While the song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate to the idea of having a profound loss in their life.”

The track is written as a letter to the Van Halen frontman, who died last month at 65 after facing cancer for years.

But the US cannot do it alone.

To ensure the 1.5°C goal is within reach, China needs to stick with its pledge to go carbon neutral by 2060, and the European Union, Japan and South Korea all need to achieve their climate commitments, CAT said.

Democratic nominee Joe Biden is projected to win Michigan, Decision Desk HQ reported on Wednesday afternoon.

The victory marked a crucial step for Biden in his quest to reach 270 electoral votes, putting him within reach of the White House by just one or two more state victories.

Michigan’s 16 electoral votes push Biden’s total up to 253, which means a win in Pennsylvania would send him over the top. Should Biden secure Arizona and Nevada, that would also make him the victor, even if he were not able to pick up Pennsylvania.

Michigan has voted equally
