Flanagan first appeared on Weber’s season of The Bachelor but didn’t make it to the hometowns. The pilot, 29, briefly got engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss on his finale but broke it off shortly after and reignited his relationship with runner-up Madison Prewett. They split two days after the March finale aired.

Former Harvard Fencing Coach Peter Brand Accused of Taking Bribes

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — When Jie Zhao, a wealthy Maryland businessman, wanted to get his two sons into Harvard, federal prosecutors said on Monday, he made connections with the school’s longtime fencing coach, Peter Brand, who was having financial trouble.

Over a five-year period, according to prosecutors, Mr. Zhao paid for Mr. Brand’s car. He made college tuition payments for the coach’s son. He paid off the mortgage on Mr. Brand’s house in a Boston suburb, and eventually purchased the house for an inflated price. After Mr. Brand bought a more expensive residence in Cambridge, Mr. Zhao paid to renovate it.

In return, prosecutors said in a criminal complaint, Mr. Brand recruited Mr. Zhao’s sons to the Harvard fencing team, helping to secure their admission. Altogether, the payments to the fencing coach amounted to $1.5 million, prosecutors said.

On Monday, Mr. Zhao, the chief executive of a telecommunications company, and Mr.

What’s the Peter Pan-inspired film about?

CLOSE

Peter Pan and his sister Alice travel to Neverland and Wonderland in the new movie “Come Away.”

USA TODAY

What happens when you mix A-list actors with a story about loss that also references Neverland and Wonderland? You wind up with the PG-rated stew that is “Come Away,” the new live-action film from director Brenda Chapman (“Brave,” “The Prince of Egypt”) that stars Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo (also a producer) as Rose and Jack Littleton, the parents in a downer of an indie family movie.

Although the film follows children Alice (Keira Chansa) and Peter (Jordan A. Nash) as they imagine tea parties and sword fights, it’s filled with more grief and sorrow than fun and joy. A warning: If you’re looking for an uplifting movie right now, look elsewhere. (And you would be wise to also avoid the new “Secret Garden” film for similar reasons.)

But what

Nicknamed the “Yorkshire Ripper” by the UK press, Sutcliffe was convicted in 1981 for murdering 13 women and attempting to murder seven others during a reign of terror in northern England between 1975 and 1980. He was serving a whole life term.

He had been suffering from underlying health conditions before testing positive for Covid-19, but the Prison Service could not confirm the cause of death as that is “rightly a matter for the coroner.”

A Prison Service spokesperson said: “HMP (Her Majesty’s Prison) Frankland prisoner Peter Coonan (born Sutcliffe) died in hospital on 13 November. The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman has been

TV ratings struggle again following Peter V’landys announcement

State of Origin probably won’t be at the end of the season again.

Following Peter V’landys’ admission that the NRL will most likely return to mid-season State of Origin series, the TV ratings again struggled on Wednesday night for Game II.

Last week’s opener was up against the US Election coverage, and garnered the lowest metro and national audience since 2003 .

There was some optimism that the second clash could be different, but the numbers have shown only a slight increase.

Last week’s metro numbers drew just 1,598,000 viewers, with this week bumped up 1,654,000 – not a great improvement, especially with the lack of other big TV events on.

‘Come Away’ lets Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan take flight with multiracial cast

(Reuters) – Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan are brother and sister in the new fantasy film “Come Away” that puts a new spin on two of the best-known British children’s classic stories.

And that’s not all. Both Peter and Alice are played by multi-racial young actors, with David Oyelowo playing their father and Angelina Jolie playing their mother in turn of the 20th century England.

“They are iconic characters in beloved fairy tales, but we’ve never seen them put together,” said Oyelowo, best known for playing American civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr, in “Selma.”

“These are fictional fantasy characters that race is not something that is tied to their representation on film,” he added. “I think there are far more people who are going to celebrate what we do in this film than the few and small voices who take umbrage with it.”

“Come Away” is released

Gillian Anderson set “very clear boundaries” whilst working with her partner, Peter Morgan, on the set of ‘The Crown’.

The 52-year-old actress stars as former UK prime minister Margaret Thatcher in the upcoming fourth season of the Netflix hit series, which was created and principally written by her boyfriend, Peter.

And for the “benefit of the relationship”, Gillian and Peter made sure to set boundaries between them, which stopped them from criticising one another’s work whilst on set.

Speaking to the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she said: “For our own sanity, and actually for the benefit of the relationship, we had very clear boundaries. I am not going to comment on the script, but you are not allowed to comment on the performance!”

Gillian also insisted she had to cast away her own “opinions” of Margaret Thatcher and her “actions”

Peter Webber Develops Series Sequel to Netflix’s ‘Pickpockets’

Director Peter Webber is preparing a six-part series sequel to his Colombia-set teen drama “Pickpockets” (“Maestros del robo”), which Netflix launched globally in 2018. The film tells the story of aspiring teenage thieves learning how to be successful pickpockets.

“Apparently, it did really well amongst teenagers,” Webber told Variety. “They asked us to do a sequel, so at the moment we are working on six one-hour episodes following up the main characters.”

Netflix is not believed to be officially attached to the sequel, which is still in development stages.

It’s understood that the project will have a broader scope than the film. “As the series develops, the locations change,” Webber said. “It’s a bit more international than the last one.”

British native Webber is currently at the El Gouna Film Festival, where he is serving as jury president of the Feature Narrative Competition section. The jury also comprises iconic

From ELLE

Just as Peter Pan vows to never grow up, movies about him are proving just as resistant to age out of Hollywood. Disney continues to adapt its catalog of classic animated films with Peter Pan & Wendy, and the next live-action movie has found its Tinkerbell. Relative newcomers Ever Anderson and Alexander Molony were cast as Wendy Darling and Peter Pan, respectively, back in March. Oscar nominee Jude Law boarded the project as Captain Hook in July. And now the film has secured its iconic winged fairy.

Below, everything we know about the new film, including if it will premiere on Disney+.

Who is involved?

Sources tell Variety that Anderson (who will reportedly play the younger version of Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow and is the daughter of actress Milla Jovovich) will play Wendy. Meanwhile, Molony (Disney Junior series Claude
