Ryan Reynolds Has Hilarious Reaction To a Petition Wanting Vancouver to Name a Street After Him

Ryan Reynolds has a hilarious reaction to a petition wanting to rename a street in his honor.

The petition was launched by Vancouver’s “The Kevin and Sonia Show with Tara Jean” on 104.9 KiSS radio and declared the Deadpool actor “Vancouver’s favourite son” who “deserves to have a street named after him (or at least a lane). It’s time.”

The online petition also revealed why they were urging the city to consider it, saying that “we feel for all he’s done for the community, he’s entirely deserving of a street named after him.”

It even cites the recent donation that he and wife Blake Lively made to Covenant House.

While tons of Twitter users signed and expressed their excitement about the possibility, Ryan isn’t exactly a fan of it.

“Very kind but hard pass,” he wrote, when he caught sight of the petition going around. “If traffic sucks everyone will

Netflix has roped in a few more hugely talented individuals for Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming sci-fi flick The Adam Project. Joining the Deadpool actor on his time travel adventure is Avengers: Endgame star Mark Ruffalo and Oscar-nominated actress Catherine Keener, with Ruffalo set to star as Reynolds’ dad, a brilliant physicist, with Keener on board as the movie’s villain, who has stolen powerful technology from him. Mark Ruffalo To Play Dad To Ryan Reynolds In Netflix Time Travel Movie

Mark Ruffalo and Ryan Reynolds work in different parts of the comic book movie-verse, though perhaps not for long: Marvel, who owns Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Fox, who owns Deadpool, do now live under the same tent, thanks to that huge (and worrying) Disney merger. But thanks to Netflix, they’ll finally get to share the same space, albeit for a non-superhero movie. In fact, as per The Hollywood Reporter, they’re going to play father and son.

The movie in question is The Adam Project, and it’s been in the works for a while. In fact, it just started shooting in Vancouver last week. The movie stars Reynolds as a man who goes back in time, seeking help from his 13-year-old self. He also rubs shoulders with his physicist dad, which we now know will be played by no less than Ruffalo. (Catherine Keener is also on hand as the
