It should only take a moment to connect your Chromecast to Spotify. Google

  • Google Chromecast allows you to play Spotify on your TV with album art and lyrics displayed on the screen.
  • You can play Spotify on Chromecast using a phone, tablet, desktop, laptop, or Spotify’s web player, and the device you cast from becomes your remote.
  • To connect Spotify to Chromecast, you’ll just need to use Spotify’s “Devices” menu.
  • Visit Business Insider’ Tech Reference library for more stories.

The Google Chromecast is a device that connects to your TV’s HDMI port, and allows you to “cast” media from a phone, computer, or tablet to your TV. It essentially turns any television into a Smart TV.

Turn your Fire TV into a larger Amazon Echo Show. Here’s how

If you’ve got an Amazon Echo device, like the Echo Dot, but thought about upgrading to an Echo Show, you might not need to spend the extra cash. You can now turn a Fire TV into an Echo Show and control it with the Echo speaker you already have.

Not only does it provide you with a much larger screen than the Echo Show, but it can also display your front door camera on the TV screen. It also eliminates the need to use your Fire Stick remote to control the TV by letting you control everything with just your voice. (Sorry, touchscreen and camera not included.)

After Years of Watching ‘Trump Show,’ TV News Starts to Turn it Off

Click here to read the full article.

The sight of President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, throwing off conspiracy theories and hair dye yesterday in TV’s once-humdrum daytime hours, would not too long ago have proven to be catnip that no TV-news outlet could resist. Yesterday, many of them did.

Few if any of the nation’s TV-news outlets aired live Thursday’s press conference from the legal team spearheading the president’s efforts to overturn the election. And Fox News, which did, followed it up with reporting from Kristin Fisher, a White House correspondent, who noted: “Well, that was certainly a colorful news conference from Rudy Giuliani, but it was light on facts. So much of what he said was simply not true or has already been thrown out in court.” Later that evening, primetime host Tucker Carlson told viewers he had invited Sidney Powell, another Trump attorney to appear, but noted

WRs Diggs, Hopkins turn Bills and Cards into must-see TV

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Buffalo’s Stefon Diggs and Arizona’s DeAndre Hopkins are two receivers who have flourished in their new homes after being traded to their respective teams just hours apart in March.

They’ve also helped turned their teams into some of the most exciting in the NFL.

Now the Bills travel to face the Cardinals in a game that’s vital for both teams in their chase for the playoffs. Buffalo (7-2) is trying to win its first AFC East title since 1995. Arizona (5-3) is in the hunt to get back on top of the NFC West for the first time since 2015.

Diggs and Hopkins are two of just three receivers in the league with at least 60 catches and at least 700 yards receiving so far this year. Diggs spent five years with Minnesota before coming to Buffalo. Hopkins was with the Texans for seven seasons before

Nothing is going to replicate the experience of seeing a movie in a movie theater. But, like with so many communal experiences, we’ve had to adapt in 2020, and there are plenty of ways to replicate a version of the theatrical experience in a safe, socially distant, or single household-only manner. The best option? Investing in a few key purchases to turn your backyard (or front yard, or patio, or any outdoor space) into a home theater.

You’ll need a projector and a screen to

“Parsing Fox Punditry Like It’s That Vatican Newspaper”: With Trump’s Reelection Hopes Dwindling, All Eyes Turn to Murdoch’s Media Empire

As coffee-guzzling and sleep-deprived TV journalists plowed through their fourth straight day covering the nail-biter election results on Friday, the fascination with Fox News’ coverage remained high. “People on here parsing Fox punditry like it’s that Vatican newspaper,” tweeted the New York TimesAlexander Burns. The Rupert Murdoch–controlled network had already triggered conniptions inside the Trump campaign with its decision desk’s early but firm call for Joe Biden in Arizona—“incandescent anger” is how Jonathan Swan described it over at Axios, while a source told my colleague Gabriel Sherman that Trump “phoned [Murdoch] to scream about the call and demand a retraction.” (The Arizona call aside, the president is presumably pleased that his unfounded “fraud” accusations are getting plenty of oxygen on Fox News in prime time.)

As much as media and political insiders have been falling off the edges of their seats over when the big call will

Saban Films Acquires Constantin’s ‘Tides’ and ‘Wrong Turn’ at AFM

Saban Films has acquired the rights to two titles from Munich-based “Resident Evil” producer Constantin Film.

The deals include North American and U.K. rights to the adventure thriller “Tides,” directed by Tim Fehlbaum, and North American rights to director Mike P. Nelson’s anticipated horror reboot, “Wrong Turn.”

Mister Smith Entertainment is handling worldwide sales on both Constantin titles this week at the virtual American Film Market, where the titles will be screening for buyers.

“Tides” marks the second film from Swiss-born director Fehlbaum, who burst to attention with his debut feature “Hell,” another sci-fi thriller.

Set in a not-too-distant future, “Tides” follows an elite female astronaut from Space Colony Kepler who is shipwrecked on a decimated Earth after a global catastrophe has wiped out nearly all of humanity. She must make a decision that will seal the fate of the Earth’s populace.

“Tides” stars Nora Arnezeder (“Mozart In The Jungle”),

Why ‘Easy A’ Failed To Turn Emma Stone Into A Movie Star

The “all by myself” comedy hit Easy A wasn’t followed by more Emma Stone star vehicles, but merely a number of higher-profile love interest/daughter roles.

There are several run-of-the-mill studio programmers currently sitting on Netflix’s
NFLX
daily most-watched list, including two recent flops (Mark Wahlberg’s Mile 22 and Oliver Stone’s Snowden) and two decade-old hits (Emma Stone’s Easy A and Naomi Watts’ The Impossible). Keanu Reeves’ Knock Knock was a VOD-centric horror title that did just fine on a $2 million budget, but I digress. Easy A is the one that sticks out, because it (like Mile 22) resembles exactly the kind of movie that Netflix essentially put

Four-chair turn on ‘The Voice’ is a family affair for this mom, her daughters

Every family has something different that brings them together, but for one super musical family from Alabama, their thing is singing.

Mia, 15, Jaycee, 13, and Mama T, 47, auditioned for the coaches of “The Voice” in an episode that aired on Monday night and managed to get all four of them to turn around for their performance of Linda Ronstadt’s “When Will I Be Loved.”

“The girls have been signing pretty much their entire lives,” Mama T, who also goes by Tara, said.

The unusual family trio, which goes by “Worth the Wait,” originally featured the two younger girls and their older sister, Sadie, who had to drop out of the group after having a baby with special needs.

“Jackson needs a lot of full-time care,” Tara explained. “He was born with a rare skin disease. They came to me and said they felt like that
